Hello everyone! My name is Rachael and I am a recent grad from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I majored in Mass Communication with a focus in Electronic Media and minored in Art and Design. My goal is to use the skills I have acquired through the courses I have completed at Texas State to create video content for both television and the internet.

My hopes are to break into the media industry through videography. I hope to eventually be focusing on the electronic music scene beginning in Austin, Texas and then working my way to other markets. I have begun the process by volunteering at local music festivals such as Art Outside in hopes of networking and gaining experience. Being a part of the promotion of music festivals and music shows is where I see myself thriving in the near future.

My experience with videography has largely come from my time at Texas State University. The courses I have taken have required me to make mini-documentaries, packages for news, voice overs for news, and also go behind the scenes of actual news casts. Through these projects I have learned how much I enjoy editing and that it comes fairly naturally to me. Telling stories through sound and images is not only satisfying because of the end product but also the entire process you have to go through to create that story. Learning about issues and people is something I enjoy very much and videography is my outlet of choice to do that very thing.
